Itinerary

Morning
Step Pyramid of Djoser
The first tomb you will see is one made entirely of stone. Built by King Djoser, the Step Pyramid Imhotep appears to have started construction on a straightforward mastaba tomb. Imhotep chose to climb higher than the 20 feet tall highest mastaba.
Morning
Idut's Tomb
Idut's tomb is one of the most significant tombs. The princess who owned it was a member of the Royal Family from the end of the Fifth Dynasty to the start of the Sixth. The tomb is renowned for its vivid representations of daily life, including butchers, scribes, fishing, farming, and the papyrus harvest.
Morning
Unas Pyramid
The Fifth Dynasty saw the construction of the Unas Pyramid. Even though it is small, this pyramid is significant because it contains the original Pyramid Texts. The earliest examples of a written Semitic language can be found in writings on the walls.
Afternoon
Tomb of Mereruka & Serapeum
The Tomb of Mereruka, who served as King Teti's minister, is decorated with exquisite scenes offering a glimpse into life in the Old Kingdom. Additionally, the Serapeum consists of two lengthy corridors that once housed the mummified remains of the sacred Apis bulls.
